About Me

People are constantly saying that I’m funny. I don’t think they always mean it in a kind way either. Oh well. People who give me a chance either enjoy my company, or at least pretend to do so pretty well.

I’m the unofficial voice of the Welland Tigers (online through my Rink Rat Rants Sports Blog and over the P.A. system at their home games), and co-announcer and provider of in-game music for the Welland Vesuvius Warlords Jr. B Lacrosse team for the 2008 season.

General Announcing, playing music and writing for a combination of hockey, lacrosse, basketball, baseball, ball hockey, soccer and football games, year-round.Going to the movies 1-2 times per week, when I can find the time.Spending any available free time I have left thinking about things that others have that I don’t. For example, women, money and talent. I grew up loving to read about such subjects as Politics, Religion, and Economics. I still don’t really know too much about any of the above, but I still find myself interested in them. Kinda like me and women…I’m not likely to fully grasp any of the above anytime soon. The only sport I was ever good at was putting myself down, and it’s one I continue to excel at, at least occasionally. If you can’t make fun of yourself, don’t worry; there are plenty of others willing to do it for you. Music Whatever puts me in a good mood and keeps me from feeling sad, lonely, or depressed. Television I won’t stay home or sit still long enough to watch very much television anymore, however, the following shows usually draw my attention when there is nothing else to do: Law and Order (any series) House The War At Home E.R. CSI (any series) NFL Without A Trace NASCAR Monday Night RAW Books Me picking up a book these days is as likely as me picking up a chick… okay, maybe a little bit more likely than THAT…haha Some of my all-time favourite books are:Anna Karenina Tara Road Words I Wish I Wrote Needful Things The Rainmaker the Bible 1984 Brave New World Heroes God.My family (at least some members, some of the time).My hometown has some of the greatest kids anywhere on its sports teams. I’m proud to be associated with many of them and help them in any way that I can. They make me a better person, which is something a hero should do, right?
