While my schedule prevented me from following any of these leagues on a regular basis over the course of the entire summer I did manage to attend the Championship Days of the Welland Minor Baseball Assn., Ball Hockey International and the Welland Soccer Club yesterday. During the past few weeks I have been able to attend several games from all three organizations and I can’t stress enough the great job that all the volunteers and staff do to ensure every player has a great time. To all the coaches, game officials and league administrators, congratulations on a job very well done and thank you for all your hard work. As every parent can likely attest, the smiles on these kids’ faces make all the hard work and time spent during the season well worth it.
