Welland advances to play Amherstburg, with games being played in Welland at 2:40pm on Saturday and at Noon on Sunday.

OMHA Quarterfinals vs. Amherstburg Avalanche

With three Welland teams advancing to the Quarterfinal round, I was unable to attend all three series in person due to how the games were scheduled in different locations at the same time.  I was only able to catch the final period of Game 1 and all of Game 4 in this particular series, however, from what I was able to see personally and all the comments I was passed on from others attending these games, this was a tremendous series through, with neither team gaining a two-goal lead at any point in any of the games played.

Congratulations to the Amherstburg Stars for advancing to the semi-finals, and to our own Welland Tigers for a fantastic effort, not only in this series, but throughout the entire season.  I know your parents could be any prouder of how you battled and earned the respect of all your opponents.  A job very well done by all.

Amherstburg advances to the OMHA Semi-Final round to face the winner of the Brampton/Oakville Quarterfinal series.
