Niagara Falls Thunder vs. Welland Bob Robinson & Son Construction Tigers (Major Peewee A)
The Welland Bob Robinson & Son Construction Tigers turned in a much better performance on Saturday than they had the previous night, shutting out the visiting Niagara Falls Thunder after being defeated the night before by Grimsby.
#30 Maverick Petrachenko stopped all 12 shots he faced to record the 4-0 shutout. #3 Ethan Clark, #8 Carson Lynds, #7 Dylan Nadeau and #15 Kurtis Borgatti each fired off single markers in 22-shots against #1 Adam Masur in the Thunder crease. #2 Parker Hayward, Nadeau and #16 Makenzie Simon each recorded assists on the evening for the home side.
Welland was penalized twice without incident while going 0-for-1 with the man advantage. The Tigers next face the Grimsby Peach Kings twice on the road this week, with games on Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon.
