Hespeler Olympics, December 28-30, 2007
Two goals by #7 Dylan Nadeau and single markers by #8 Carson Lynds, #16 Makenzie Simon, and #15 Kurtis Borgatti paced the Welland Bob Robinson & Son Construction Tigers past the Hespeler Shamrocks 5-2 in their opening game of the Hespeler Olympics Tournament taking place over the Christmas break, however, the Tigers went on to lose the next three games and failed to advance out of the round-robin portion of the tournament. #10 David Falovo received player of the game honours for the opening contest.
In their second game, the Tigers were edged 4-3 by the Saugeen Shores Storm, despite goals by Nadeau, Simon and #14 Janson Lapalme. #12 Jacob Duguay was rewarded with player of the game status for that contest. Lapalme recorded the only tally and player of the game laurels in a 3-1 loss to SSE London in the team’s third game of the competition, while Lynds, #19 Nathan Anderson and #9 Kyle Patterson found the back of the net in a 9-3 dropped decision to West Hill in the teams’ final game of the tournament with Anderson being awarded player of the game status.
