Thorold Blackhawks vs. Welland Young’s Insurance Tigers (Major Bantam A)

The Welland Young’s Insurance Tigers ended the 2007 portion of their schedule on a high note by defeating the visiting Thorold Blackhawks 2-1 for their second straight victory in Major Bantam A action this week. #16 Sebastien Beaudoin scored twice for the home side in his fill-in role, which was enough to capture the victory thanks to another excellent performance in goal by #2 Dylan Tait of the Tigers.  Only #17 Taylor Dosa of the Blackhawks was able to solve Tait on the night, scoring with 1:17 left to play to foil his shutout bid.  Assisting on the Tiger’s goals were #9 Nicholas Beaudoin with two helpers, and #6 Bobby Blair with a single assist.  The Tigers will compete in the Pelham Silver Stick Invitational over the holidays and then travel to Pittsburgh for a series of exhibition matches before returning to regular season action on the road in Fort Erie on January 6.
