2007 Burlington Golden Horseshoe AAA Tournament, Dec. 27-30
Despite not losing a single game, the Welland Shoppers Drug Mart Tigers found themselves on the outside looking in as the playoff rounds for the Burlington Golden Horseshoe AAA tournament began. The Tigers opened the competition by skating to a 3-3 draw with the Huron-Perth Lakers before reeling off a 3-2 win against the Toronto Nationals and defeating the Quinte Red Devils 2-1. Welland then settled for a 1-1 stalemate against the Mississauga Rebels before downing the Oshawa Minor Generals 4-3 in their final game of the tournament. The Oakville Rangers would advance from Group D by winning the division based on their 5-0 record, but would fall 6-2 in the Advancement Round at the hands of the York-Simcoe Express (4-0-1). The Toronto Nationals (3-2) would battle the Toronto Titans (5-0) in the other Advancement Round game, with the Titans winning 3-1 to advance to the championship game. The Express would win the title with a 7-3 victory over the Titans.
