Earlier I had written to advise that, at the request of the Major Midget AAA team management, I had voluntarily ceased writing reports of their games.  Since that time I have had many people requesting that I resume writing about that team since it does not receive coverage in the local newspapers.  Having not been convinced by the team that my reports were in any way improper, my instinct is to go along with the will of the people…

My practice has been to follow Bantam House League action in its entirety on the same night that the Major Midget AAA team plays, and to then rush over to catch the conclusion of the Major Midget AAA game.  However, since the Bantam HL team alreay receives some coverage in the local newspaper each week, I feel that a change in my routine is appropriate.  In the interest of providing as much hockey coverage as possible, starting tonight, I will once again commence writing on the Major Midget AAA Tigers home games and will continue to provide coverage of the Bantam HL teams on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings, where possible.  Look for my first recap of the Major Midget AAA Tigers to be posted after tonight’s action wraps up… I will also be reposting the three previous game recaps that I had temporarily removed from the site at that time.

And do not fear, Minor Peewee AAA fans, I have not abandoned you… my apologies for not posting yet regarding the December 8th game.  I am still trying to find my notes from that game, after an especially busy weekend that saw me attend my regular full slate of games on Saturday, do some announcing and timekeeping, attend a team party Saturday evening, attend more games and public skating on Sunday afternoon and then travel to Hamilton to cover the Minor Bantam AAAs on Monday evening… all while fitting in an emergency orthodontist appointment to repair a broken wire in between…  Rest assured when I locate my notes, or can recall the particulars, I will be providing my thoughts on the 4-4 tie that resulted from that game.

Yours in hockey,

Dish
