Halton Hurricanes vs. Welland Buckner’s Source for Sports Tigers (Minor Atom AAA)

The Welland Buckner’s Source for Sports Tigers defeated the visiting Halton Hurricanes for the second time this season, beating them 3-1 on  Saturday afternoon in SCTA Minor Atom AAA action at the Welland Youth Arena.  #10 Chad Maurice potted two goals in the win and #12 Conor Timmins recorded the other as the team improves to 8-4-1 on the year.  The Tigers went 1-1-1 in last weekend’s Gloria Rints Memorial Silver Stick Tournament in Whitby, while only allowing 3 goals against over the three games.  The Tigers played the Boston Minutemen to a 1-1 draw to open the tournament before being edged by Texas 2-1 in the second game and ending their tournament on a high note with a 6-0 blanking of the host Whitby Wildcats.
