If you attend a Welland Boston Pizza Tigers game this season you must be advised that you better not come in late. My arrival was delayed as I stayed to watch the conclusion of the exciting comeback by the Welland Major Bantam A Young’s Insurance Tigers in the adjacent Main arena on Saturday evening. When I arrived the Tigers were crowning the visiting Peach Kings by a 6-0 score in the second period, well on their way to a 7-1 home victory.

Proving that anyone on this team can step up to provide the offense at any time, the seven goals scored tonight were each scored by a different player, including one each from the two new players in the Tigers uniform tonight.  Called up from the Major Atom ranks to help out for this game, #6 Nicholas Fitzgerald and #9 Derek Desrochers, both tallied goals alongside team regulars #10 Nicholas Briggs, #4 Robert Fitzgerald, #11 Andrew Holowatsch, #19 Cody Levasseur, and #12 Tyler Robbins.  Ten different players also recorded assists in the game, with #10 Briggs, #19 Levasseur, #11 Holowatsch, #12 Robbins, #4 Robert Fittzgerald, #16 Darcy Muller, #18 Jackson Charles, #7 Michael Villella, #17 Fraser Weir and #2 Blair Robertson each setting up one goal apiece.

#30 Chris McGregor played well this evening, narrowly missed out on his first shutout of the year in regular-season play. The Tigers are set to face the Grimsby Future Stars Sports Photography Peach Kings on the road Wednesday evening in a rematch. The Tigers hope to improve upon their impressive 10-3-2 record.
